Living just two blocks from Hortt Elementary, my brother and I rode our bikes to school. This photo was taken one morning during the 1957-58 school year.  Look closely and you will see that we have our report cards in hand.  The neighborhood has changed significantly since those days, but I remember it well.  And yes, I still have that report card!
