Robert (Bob) Andrews, 66 son of the late Willie D and
Ethel Andrews resided in Boca Raton, but recently moved
to Tarpon Springs passed away peacefully on June 26,
2014. He was an amazing husband, a very kind father and
a loving and proud grandfather. He is survived by his
wife Diane, mother Ethel, brother David, sister in Las
Vegas, Karen Sevenigy (Richard), stepchildren Kasey
Gailing, David Hoover, Kelly Ackley and 8 grandchildren.
As a young man Bob was a proud Marine who fought in the
Vietnam War. When he returned home Bob kept that level
of pride in his work and became the ultimate
professional in his line of work. He retired from the
Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals after 27
years. He made many friends along the path of life and
will be missed by many. Bob always had a clever clip for
you, and always took part in intelligent conversation.
Bob was a master researcher of anything he was
interested in whether it was for personal use or
business. Bob was held in very high esteem in his
profession, he received numerous awards and sat on
several boards throughout his 27 years career with
Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals. |
He met his current wife Diane at a convention for his
profession. Introduced by friends they quickly fell in love
and were married for13 years. He was very proud of his
grandchildren including his grandson Jesse who followed him
in a military career...although he chose the US Navy. He was
there to see several grandchildren born, and watch them as
they grew. Diane and Bob had many plans to travel and enjoy
retirement. It is with sadness that Parkinson's overtook his
plans. It is a reminder to always live life to the fullest,
never fully knowing what tomorrow will bring. His dimpled
smile, his sparkling blue eyes and his keen sense of humor
will be dearly missed among family and friends.
