Memories of Dave Brooke
by Suzanne Rash Sperry

I literally knew David all my life.  I didn't appreciate him while we were young and after graduation we went our separate ways for fifteen years or more before reconnecting.  He had been eager to finish school and get on with his life, working hard at a number of jobs.  When we finally met again he seemed to have changed and mellowed (maybe I did too) and it was very enjoyable spending the evening reminiscing with him.  I still remember the shock and grief I felt when I learned that he had died in an automobile accident.  I'll never forget you, cousin.  I wish we could have had more time together.

Memories of Dave Brooke

by Ed Guarnieri

David and I grew up together in Broward Estates. He was my very first “best friend”. We did everything together. His parents were wonderful people also, and they always made me feel very welcome at their house.
At some point, David and his family moved away and we drifted apart. In later years we would run into each other from time to time, and as always with true friends, our childhood friendship would be rekindled. He was truly a good guy.
