Memories of Julia Chandler
by Paul Splane

Mrs. Julie Chandler, well known for teaching the Bible at Stranahan for so many years has “Graduated” today from the complications of a stroke that she had suffered some months ago.
She was my aunt (my father’s sister) who has left behind her loving husband James Chandler, her (3) sons Vincent, Michael and Mark and her daughter Jeni (who attended Stranahan and graduated in 1966). As most of the graduates of Stranahan would remember, Julie dedicated herself to introducing the Bible as the legitimate form of God’s Word, still alive today as it was during the time it was compiled. I started my Spiritual journey in her living room in 1971 after a long, difficult search for personal peace. She was a primary help to me along the way for so many years. She will be missed.
