Memories
of Bill Herbert |
by Jeff Motyka, Class
of 1966 |
I have fond memories of
playing baseball with Bill at the old "rockpit"
fields. Several years after high school, I met
Bill at the Federal Law Enforcement Training
Center in Washington, DC. Bill was an
instructor and I was a new agent in training.
He was very helpful to me at that point in my
career. I am sorry to hear that he is gone.

Memories
of Bill Herbert
by Jim Kearney |
I remember Bill, he
John Gerum and I used to run around a lot in HS and
we had many great times. I saw him last at the 20th
reunion at Bahia Mar I think, he was just diagnosed
and went thru an operation. We caught up on old
times. When his wife Yolanda called to tell us of
his passing, I just felt an empty space where all of
those old memories were.

Memories
of Bill Herbert
by Bob Brenner
|
Bill and I
played football together and became friends
through football. One thing I will always
remember is the night John Seeley hit the shot
in basketball in our home gym to beat Pompano
Beach. The minute the horn sounded and the game
ended I remember Terry Townsend and Bill Herbert
running onto the floor and hugging me and
picking me up as we yelled and screamed in
celebration of the victory. What a night! I wish
I had seen Bill before he passed away, God bless
you Bill!
