Eugene "Gino"
Petraglia, 68, checked out February 7, 2015.
Known for his hilarious sense of humor and great
stories; he had a big heart and never turned his
back on strays-four legged or two. A lover of
convertibles, laughter, Butterfingers, family
and friends. He hated stupidity, waiting rooms,
country music and football players in sissy
tight pants. An auto body restorer, damage
magically disappeared and cars shined with duct
tape, polish and parts of dubious origin. He
loved driving fast, John G's, swear words and
fixing things with Bactine and bleach. He was a
gardener of sorts and loved to pot
plants.Survived by 2 parrots, 4 dogs, 5 indoor
and 30 feral cats and sisters: Vi Birch, Judy
Johnson, Gail Ferrero and Susan Burns. He adored
his nieces and nephews and leaves behind an
assortment of cars in stages of restoration (or
disintegration), 4 tool sheds and a palace that
is a hoarder's paradise. Gino wished his motto
on all he loved "Drive Fast and Weave", as he
would say Rock n Roll. |

I knew Gene in
Jr High all the way thru SHS. He was a fun and happy person.
I recently had connected with him at the end of 2014 on
Facebook. I was looking forward to seeing him at our 50th
even though he had ended up graduating in 66. Saddened by
his passing. He joins many of our classmates who will be
waiting to greet us at the Big Reunion in Heaven. Rest well
and peacefully Gino….be sure to drive that classic Heavenly
car carefully in the clouds.
