On Monday we played a make-up game with South Broward, rescheduled because of hurricane Irma and lost 22-18. It was a hard fought game, we just came up a little short and the clock ran out on us. Then on Friday night we played our regular cross town rival Ft. Lauderdale, still homecoming for both schools, we were the visiting team so we had after game activities this year. The final score was Ft. Lauderdale 24 SHS 19. So ends another year of SHS football reporting. To recap the year, Our overall record was 6-5-1 ( that includes pre-season games) In District we ended up in third place behind American heritage and Cardinal Gibbons. We were 3-2 in district, losing only to the 2 above mentioned teams. Nationaly we were ranked 1225, and in the state of Florida we ranked 99th.
