Nov.7,2014 SHS/Lauderdale:It didnt happen!! I was there last night,so were both teams and alot of fans.......but no refs, yup they thought the game was Sat. night and if you read the Slum-sentinel.er make that SunSentinel you would have thought it was Sat. too.The game was cancelled, dont check their sports web site it shows the game for tonight and cancelled.Lauderdale did their homecoming before the game. While waiting for the refs, both school bands put on a good show and an announcement was made honoring Coach Lou Gibson, then a moment of silence to honor him. SHS then had their homecoming activities and then we all went to Wolfies on Sunrise for ice cream. It's all true except for the Wolfies part.

With just 6 minutes to go SHS was leading 23-20 an upset to be sure, but Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School fought back and scored late to win the game 33-23. The Dragons are now 2-4 overall, 1-2 in district play.
The good news is Lauderdale High is also 2-4 overall,so the homecoming game should be a good one and either team could pull off a win.
