SHS was rated 145th in the nation. Tampa catholic was rated 53rd. In Florida Tampa was rated 3rd, SHS was rated 13th.On average Tampa Catholic scored more points each quarter than SHS during the regular season.

This is a summation of the Sun Sentinel and the Miami Herald.
Coach Terrance Williams has preached all year it's about runs,with a one point lead at the end of the third quarter the Mighty Dragons started the fourth quarter with a 10 point run and held off a late charge to win the game by five points.

Today the Mighty Dragons defeated Jax. Paxton 59-54 to advance to the final game for the state 4A championship. We will be playing Tampa Catholic. They defeated Lakeland Prep by a score of 65-54. The championship game will be played in Lakeland,FL on March 7th. The results will be reported here.

Basketball : March madness again.
The mighty Dragon basketball team is in the final four for another state championship in the 4A class. After defeating fellow reigning champion University School in the regional semifinals, then defeating Miami Gulliver Prep in the regional finals, the Mighty Dragons are in the final four teams heading to Lakeland for another championship run. Today they play Jacksonville Paxton, with the winner advancing to the big game for the state championship. The Mighty Dragons record is 22-9, Jacksonville Paxton is25-5. Currently we are ranked 18th in the state in 4A and Jacksonville Paxton is ranked 13th. Should be a great game, look for more results tomorrow.
