Last Friday was more of the same for the Dragons. A 48-0 loss to the Coconut Creek Cougars. The Dragons are now 1-7. This weeks game is against the Cardinal Gibbons team that is 6-2 overall, ranked 17th overall in Florida and 5th in all 5A division teams in Florida. Their record is 6-2. This is a home conference game for our Dragons. Game to be played at S. Plantation HS field. So far the Dragon offence has scored a total of 68 points, the defense has given up 253 points. Yes its been a rough season, but looking back at our schedule, this is one of the toughest we have faced in a few years. October 26th is our next game, then the low Flying L's for Homecoming on November 2. This has been a rough year of reporting, and YES I'm still a loyal, proud Dragon alumni. SHS took it on the chin again, losing to Miami Jackson last Thurs. night. The score was 38-0. The Dragons are now 1-6 overall. This week we play Coconut Creek, who last week beat Blanche Ely 43-18 to end their three game losing streak. So its time to circle the wagons and regroup and cheer our Dragons on to VICTORY. The Dragons did lose to American Heritage this weekend, but it wasn't as bad as last year. the score was 25-0 at the half. the Dragon offense couldn't do much against a very tough defense. We did score late in the game, went for a two point conversion and failed. the final score was 39-6. The Dragons are now 1-5 overall.
Next week we play Miami Jackson, both teams are 0-2 in League play. Jackson is 3-3 overall. Next game is on Oct. 12, a home- conference game for the Dragons......Go Dragons......

Alas last weekend, their was no joy in Muddvile, the mighty dragons have struck out, ( See Casey at the bat for the analogy) The Dillard Panthers put it to the Mighty Dragons last weekend in a 20-6 loss for our team. The Dragons are now 1-4 . This week doesn't look good either. We play American Heritage, who are rated the 6th best football team in all of Florida AND 50th best in the USA. Last years score was a 52-0 loss to this team. But remember on any given day....so we wish the team all the best...and remember its not whether you win or lose, its how you play the game.Go Dragons........from the sports desk. Ray Heaton jr.

SHS had a game scheduled with Hallandale HS on Sept. 22, that game was postponed until Monday the 24 of Sept. I couldn't find out why, but I do have the final score of the game. Hallandale 18, SHS 8. We are now 1-3 overall this season. Our next game is on Sept.29, we play Dillard HS at their home field. This is an away game and is a non-conference game Go Dragons..........
